Dom is an Australian entrepreneur and technologist who co-founded several businesses, including Up (up.com.au, Australia’s leading digital bank), Pin Payments, and Ferocia.
Dom's been involved in software, web, and mobile development for over 20 years from startups to global enterprises in Australia, the UK, the USA, and throughout Asia.
Amidst a growing neobank scene, Up was the first to launch in Australia in October 2018, and is now the #1 rated banking app and twice voted most trusted bank in Australia, amassing over 650,000 very happy customers.
Dom serves as an advisory board member for Ferocia and Up at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and he’s also a board member at Fintech Australia.
During 2022, Dom received coveted industry awards such as “Outstanding Fintech Leader of the Year” (at the Finnies), “Fintech Leader of the Year” (at the Australian Fintech Awards), and “C-Suite 2022” (at the Pause Awards).
Dom has recently launched his own family office (Euphemia) from which he mentors, advises, and invests in founders and startups globally.
Judy is the Group CEO of Euphemia, the family office for Australian entrepreneur and technologist, Dom Pym. Judy leads Euphemia’s ~$80m global investment portfolio including private & public equities, venture capital and property portfolios, as well as the Euphemia Foundation to support people in need.
Euphemia’s direct venture investment portfolio (private equities) includes > 50 companies globally, focussed across four main areas: FinTech, ClimateTech, women-led startups and startup infrastructure. The FinTech portfolio is comprised of > 26 companies including local fintech favourites Birchal, Cake and Zepto.
Euphemia is an investor in leading and emerging funds with more than $15m invested in > 20 funds, including at least a dozen Australian funds including Airtree, Giant Leap, Possible Ventures and Square Peg Capital. The fund portfolio spans pre-seed to private equity funds and includes alternative finance providers like Tractor Ventures, Rixon Capital and Second Quarter Ventures.
Judy is responsible for the performance and impact of the investment portfolio and actively manages Euphemia’s deal flow funnel, due diligence, investment decisions and portfolio success activities (direct and funds). In 2022 Judy worked closely with the founders of Aussie Angels as the lead investor for their seed raise. In 2023 Dom and Judy launched the Euphemia syndicate on the platform to share dealflow with their network of co-investors from other family offices, VCs, Angels, ecosystem partners & founders.
Prior to teaming up with Dom, Judy was the CEO of Startup Victoria, Australia’s largest network for entrepreneurs with over 60,000 people in the community. An alumni of the Airtree Explorers pilot program, Judy is an angel investor and advocate for investing in women founders & funders across the Aussie startup ecosystem. She is Chair of the advisory board at LUNA and is a board observer at Birchal on behalf of Euphemia.
Euphemia invests directly in startups across four main focus areas, shown below, typically pre-seed to Series A.
As a family office we also invest in venture capital and private equity funds, traditional asset classes and the Euphemia Foundation (to support people in need).
